Mike McKee resigns

Mike McKee, Chairman of the Montana Board of Pardons and Parole, denied clemency to Barry Beach earlier this year. Mike McKee resigned December 17, 2014.

Barry Beach’s CoercedConfession was obtained by police officer’s Richard Medaries and Sgt. Jay Via, detectives from Monroe, Louisiana. According to testimony in the Barry Beach trial, Detective Medaries also obtained a false confession from Serial Killers Ottis Toole and Henry Lucas. Between 1983 and 1986 these three serial killers pulled a hoax on law enforcement, obtaining favoritism for their false stories. Edward Wayne Edwards got released in 1986 for his set-ups of innocent people for HIS murders. Lucas and Toole confessed to murders they couldn’t have done to gain favoritism in the justice system. Sgt. Via and Detective Medaries were fooled by three serial killers. The entire event was labeled a hoax by the Texas State Attorney General in the Lucas Report 1986.
