1950, JUNE, 22nd. Parris Island, South Carolina. Edwards lies about his age and cons his way into the Marines.
1950, September. Edwards goes AWOL and starts portraying himself as a CIA agent. He writes about killing in his book.
1951, March 25th, EASTER Sunday. Santa Rosa, Florida. Edwards kills Romeo A Beaudry, Married father of two children at a Standard Oil Gas Station, by shooting him 4 times in the face neck and chest. Edwards writes about the robbery in Metamorphosis of a Criminal.
1951, May. Daytona Beach Florida. EDWARDS RUNS THE COUNTRY AWOL FROM SEPTEMBER 1950 UNTIL MAY 1951. Edwards caught in Florida and starts informing to FBI on Communist sympathizers and is released to the Shore Patrol.

1952, April 25: Chillicothe, Ohio. Edwards caught impersonating an officer and goes to prison in Chillicothe. He meets Charlie Manson for the first time. Both are from Cleveland Ohio. Manson was born in 1934 and Edwards, 1933.

1954, July 4, Cleveland, Ohio: EDWARDS KILLS Marilyn Sheppard, age 30. (pictured Below) She is pregnant and he beats her to death in her bedroom while her husband was asleep on the couch.
In his 1972 book, Edwards described entering her home at the right time, 3:30, pulling Marilyn by her legs from her bed, and killing her. He had placed the correct method of his arrival to the location, and the correct time of the murder in his book.

1954, July 13. Cleveland, Ohio. Edwards sends a letter to Dr. Sam Sheppards father claiming he will admit the crime and be executed in exchange for 25,000 dollars.

1954, August 31st. Sioux City, Iowa: Edwards kidnaps 8 year old Jimmy Bremmers. On September 29th, 1954 his decapitated body is found and his hands have been removed.

1955, March 3rd. Sioux City Iowa: Police arrest an innocent man named Ernest Triplett, pictured below, for killing Jimmy Bremmers. He is mentally ill and confesses. The crime causes panic in Iowa. Bremmers will be released in 1972. He was framed by Edwards
1955, March 11 to April 6th. Akron, Ohio: Edwards caught as a fugitive from Texas and Burglary in Ohio. Authorities do not realize he is the killer of Marilyn Shepard and Jimmy Bremmers just 9 months earlier. Edwards escapes a courtroom. Assumes the name Dr. James Garfield Langley and runs the country for 10 more months.
1955, April 28, Berkeley, California: Edwards escapes Ohio and lies in his book about where he went. He flees to San Francisco where he assumes the name Dr. James Garfield Langley. He kidnaps Stephanie Bryan, age 14, pictured below. He is last seen fleeing on Mount Diablo Boulevard, heading towards Mount Diablo. He buries Stephanies body at Burton Abbott’s cabin, setting him up.
1955, May 2nd. Berkeley, California: Three days after kidnapping Stephanie, Edwards mails a ransom note to Dr. Bryan.

1955, June 17th. Sioux City Iowa: Ernest Triplett is convicted and sent to prison in Iowa for the Aug 31, 1954 kidnapping and beheading of Jimmy Bremmer Edwards committed.
1955, July 7th. Sioux City, Iowa: Ernest Triplett enters Iowa State Prison, Three Days Later, Edwards kidnaps 22 month old Donna Sue Davis in Sioux City as revenge.
1955, July 10th. Sioux City, Iowa. SUNDAY NIGHT: Edwards kidnaps 22 month old Donna Sue Davis from her home while her parents are at home. Police go public saying the FBI cannot get involved until the kidnapper crosses state lines.

Early Monday morning at the Davis home, Capt. Rispalje explains that the FBI cannot be called in on the case until proof exists the abductor took Donna Sue across a state line or contacted the Davises asking for money or other consideration in exchange for Donna Sue’s return.
More detectives descend upon the neighborhood, talking with residents about the previous day’s and evening’s activities. They perform a house to house check.
Three FBI officers from the Omaha Field Office arrive at the Davis home, stating they are there to familiarize themselves with the neighborhood. They unofficially associate themselves with the case in what they call a “consultatory capacity.”
1955, July 11th. South Sioux City,Nebraska: Edwards plants Donna Sue Davis’ body across state lines in Nebraska, just a few miles away from where he kidnapped her.
1955, July 16. Berkeley, California. Edwards returns to San Francisco and taunts the police and press with false letters that detail how he stalked and killed Stephanie Bryan. Edwards also sends his first COUNT, 13 years before he will send COUNTS in the Zodiac killings.
EDWARDS RETURNED TO THE BAY AREA FROM APRIL THROUGH AUGUST, 1955. HE SENT DOZENS OF FALSE LETTERS TO THE PRESS, THE DEFENSE, THE PROSECUTOR AND THE FAMILY OF STEPHANIE BRYAN. EACH LETTER CONTAINED THE DETAILS OF HOW HE HAD STALKED AND KILLED STEPHANIE.
July 20th, 1955. Trinity County, California. Edwards injects himself into the investigation under assumed name, and leads San Francisco Examiner Reporter Ed Montgomery, and Photographer Bob Bryant, to Stephanie Bryan’s body buried behind Burton Abbotts Cabin. Edwards used the assumed name Leroy MYERS, claiming to be an auto salesman. (Edwards birth name Charles Edward Myers)

1955, November. FBI PRESS RELEASE: J Edgar Hoover, FBI Director Praises San Francisco Examiner Reporter Ed Montgomery and photographer Bob Bryant For Finding Stephanie Bryan’s Body.
October, 1955. Edwards manipulated the press and police and flees California after killing Stephanie Bryan, setting up Burton Abbott, taunting the press and police with false letters. He is with a 17 year old runaway named VERNA DOE and ends up in Idaho Falls, Idaho with her two months pregnant. He stalks a drive thru in Idaho Falls and meets Jeanette White, an 18 year old Mormon girl who just graduated from high school. He kills Verna in Idaho.

(On The Third Day He Rose Again.) Edwards is a ritualistic killer, killing three days before and after his killing’s of a girlfriend or wife, and marriage to a new one . He will repeat the phrase “On The Third Day” in his book. Edwards will replicate this murder in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993

1955, October 20th. Idaho Falls, Idaho: THREE DAYS after crucifying THREE TEENS Edwards kidnaps and forces Jeanette White to marry using the assumed name James Garfield Langley.(Three Days after crucifying three teens in Chicago).
1955, October 21, Grinnell, Iowa: Edwards arrives in Grinnell, Iowa on his way to Chicago. He enters the home of Waldo E Johnson, the Chief of Police of Grinnell. He beats his wife and lites his 7 year old child on fire. Edwards had written about a Sergeant Waldo in his book who confronted him about kidnapping women

1956, January 2-3rd, Great Falls, Montana: MURDER, Kidnap 16-year-old Patty Kalitske and 18-year-old Air Force member Duane Bogle are executed on their knee’s on a lover’s lane on the banks of the Sun River. Edwards book described people begging for their lives in 1956 at his hand’s from his .32.

1956, February 7. San Francisco California. Edwards travels to San Francisco with his wife Jeanette and mails the judge Snook Letter. He returns to Great Falls, robs and burglarizes for two weeks and then flees to Billings Montana, March 5th, 1956.

1959, June 25th. Portland Oregon. Edwards was paroled by the Montana Board of Pardons and Parole after serving three years of a 10 year sentence. He was praised by Montana authorities in letters for assisting in the Deer Lodge Prison riot. He had pending armed robbery charges in Portland from 1955. Portland placed him on 5 years probation and released him. Edwards was on Montana Parole and Washington Probation as he traveled the country killing.
1959, November 28. Stevenson Washington Edwards marries Marlene Harmon. He does not tell his Parole Officer about the marriage.
1960, December. Portland, Oregon: Edwards is wanted for questioning regarding a Thanksgiving Day lover’s lane murder in Forest Park, Portland Oregon. Edwards makes the FBI 10 most wanted list
